You're Sorry?

Saying sorry if you've done something by accident towards someone else means something.

Like accidentally shooting him with a gun; only because you weren't accurate enough to hit the guy holding him hostage.

But saying sorry after you've kicked someone across the jaw at least 3 times purposely, doesn't mean anything.

Therefore, take back your fuckin' apologies until the day where you'll be laughing over my fuckin' grave.

I'll accept it by then; if I can say: "I forgive you".

The Thing That Soothes My Soul.

Would be any sort of good music. Clean, and clear. It's the perfect communication between musicians to express what they feel even if it's too technical.

Even technicality has its own beauty.

Just beyond the churchyard gates;
Where the grass is overgrown.
I saw the writing on her stone;
I felt like I would suffocate.

"In loving memory of our child;
So innocent; eyes opened wide."
I felt so empty as I cried;
Like a part of me had died.

I'm learning all about my life; by looking through her eyes.

The Ambient Soul.

Young and tender,
Thin but adventerous,
Knowledgable but impractical,
But soars above amongst the rest.

Work is interesting these few days. Minor politics and turn into big ones, and when partners aren't properly taken care of, everything turns into a chaos.

The only thing I can say is to see things your way, and see it from a manager's point of view. Then you'll understand how should things really go.

And if you can't see it that way, then ask, and see how you can learn, bimboheads.

Happy Deepavali!

To all Hindu friends, close friends and Starbucks partners, I wish you all a very Happy Deepavali.

Hope all goes well on your sides, and take care, all of you ..

As for my side, Starbucks Ikano was really busy today. It was kind of fun, and it reminded me of the time it being busy like, 5 months ago. Just that now, I'm a little bit more experience and my patience with customers got a little bit better.

So.. :)

It's fun working. Hohohohoho.

I Think I Need A Break.

Everytime when I sit in front of the laptop, I can't seem to focus on what I have planned. I can't even play the guitar right. All I can do is to song, and play along with chords which makes me feel better.

But when I let go of music, this sudden amount of stress, tension and thoughts bombard me at the same time. Eventually, when you're tensed, you'll feel it on the trapezeus muscle; the muscle that holds the spinal chord in alignment with your body..

Or whatever you call it.

Guess.. I need to put things aside again for another night, and just...

Put my mind to rest.

.. does not exist until it is communicated between
the performer..

..and the audience.

.. Of You, And Me.

I just can't help myself.
I'm feeling like I'm going out of my head.
Tear my heart into two;
I'm not the one the sleeper thought he knew..

Strange Deja Vu.

Remember the last time I said I was sick and coming down a fever about 2 weeks ago on that Monday?

Well, it's happening again today.

I'm like, going to die soon.

Today at work, was rather interesting.

I went up to my partner as I saw so many partners doing opening. Like, 2, and there were no earlier middle partner than me. So I went up to my partner who was sliding halfway, and asked her who else is coming in for middle?

The words struck through my head. I couldn't believe what I heard, as I thought she was just joking.

Until I SAW Fery in the bar. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

It makes me think of the first few days I was working in Starbucks Ikano 6 months ago. Where things were so trouble-free, and.. fun.

But this time, we had more of Fery on the bar. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAa.

Which was kind of insane, but oi! It was efficient and fun. Hohoho..

Anyways, special thanks and shoutout to my dear Kellyinyee for popping by Starbucks Ikano during my workshift with donuts, and celebrating my little belated birthday..

It's like..the best thing ever to do so..?

Although there were just 6 donuts, 2 small candles, a box, and the person with her groceries.. But this is like, the first time I felt like a child, all giddy and happy..

... How is it like again, being happy?

Thanks. :)

Binding The Mind Of An Immatured Body.

He doesn't show what he really knows,
until he speaks.
Others will see what he is capable of,
until he speaks.
Others won't know what he's after,
until he thinks.
They will know his world is like,
until he thinks.

Problem free, is what he likes to be,
until he thinks.

He ponders about, thinking what's right,
after he gets a clearer view.
He breaks a hole in his hardened shell,
only to see what he wants to.
He thinks of the possibilities,
besides what his eyes can see.
He walks in one direction,
if that brings him closer to the picture in his mind.

Problem free, is what he likes to be,
until he thinks.

The mind he has, would be the mind,
of what he is supposed to have in the future.
He achieved something beyond expected time,
and he never even bothers to look back.

He only knows how to walk forward,
leaving a legacy.
He only knows what is there to be done,
without looking back upon his legacy.

What happened yesterday, was yesterday.

It's time to hide in this shell once again.

To achieve what I once called my dreams, yet facing reality.

The perfect contrast amongst each other.

But nothing stops a passionate heart.

Melodies; Audible.

Where did we come from?
Why are we here?
Where do we go when we die?

What lies beyond?
What laid before?
Is anything certain in life?

They say, life is too short;
The here and the now.
And you're only given one shot.

Could there be more?
If I lived before?
Or could this be all that we've got?

If I died tomorrow,
I'll be alright,
because I believe that after we're gone,
the spirit carries on..

Audible Beauty.

Dream Theater - The Spirit Carries On

Just a simple melody, based on a 6/6 timing, I guess?

Just beautiful..

If I die tomorrow
I'd be all right
Because I believe
That after we're gone
The spirit carries on

Building The Church.

Only To Know..

.. That I've missed you.

.. But the constant snare rim makes me forget about what I once had, and what I will have.

The ways that your heart sounds makes all the difference
It's what decides if you'll endure the pain that we all feel
The way that your heart beats makes all the difference
In learning to live

Double The Speed; Triple The Thought.

When there's time to play, there's time to play.

When there's time to work, there's time to work.

When there's time to study, there's time to study.

Best thing is, nothing beats anything else when you have all three of them at once. Guess I can't stop being a workoholic because it opens my senses to see what I'm supposed to do at the end of the day, and get over with it.

Currently,I shall set myself to finish up whatever it is left uncompleted which I was supposed to finish by last week. I think I've procrastinated for a little bit too long now.

Have a great day ahead, you peoples.hohohoho

A Big Thank You..

I entered work today, knowing that I had messages pending to be replied on my Facebook/Friendster account only because you all were kind enough to drop me a message because..

.. or you didn't have my contact.

BUT, whatever it is, I would like to take this moment to apologise for every mistake I've done against you, if I've ever offended you, or hurt you in any aspects. Like how the Muslims would say it during Raya, Maaf Zahir Batin.. Hoho.

Then again, birthdays come and go, so it's just a normal day .. But thanks again for spending time with a friend like me.. hohohohoho.. terimas!

And for those who wished me on Friendster/Facebook, don't think you're missed out. I just got home from The Curve, so I'm going to check out all of your comments and written messages on my wall..

What I did today. I skipped class because I was way too tired to wake up. Halfly because some people texted me during the night, so I couldn't sleep. I decided to give my day off after my 6am alarm went off. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

Went to work, and worked till 7something, waited till 8.30pm for Beatrice and Khristabelle for a last-minute mini-birthday celebration. Had dinner at Sakae Sushi..It's been months since I last had something Japanese! Hoho..

Thanks, you all! For making a birthday I've celebrated away from home, family and old friends; a great one!

Random Thoughts.

This feeling inside me,
Finally found my life,
I'm finally free.
No longer torn in two,
I'd take my own life rather than losing you.

It was raining, and the way I parked the Kembara in front of Starbucks Ikano, closest to the damned railings, I couldn't open the driver's door, so I had to enter from the co-driver's seat. It was raining, and thank goodness I wasn't wet.

I sat, and on the spot, I felt my fatigue taking place. I couldn't move.

I was tired.

I was physically tired. But my mind were pondering about:

  • Espresso, Extra fine, Fine, Medium and Coarse grind settings for the Grindmaster, and how its callibration might cause what sort of problems if it's out.
  • The Ionian scale, and the supportive possible modes that goes along with it depending on the chord structure and sharpened/flattened notes in a 7-noted scale.
  • Time signatures - 4/4, 4/4, 4/4, 3/4, 4/4, 5/4, 4/4, 6/4
  • Mike Mangini's clinic.
  • Polyrhythms
  • When was the last time I hung out, and when was the last time I wasn't behind the wheel ever since I got my licence?
  • When was the last time I just went about doing nothing, but just looking and learning at stuff like how a baby uses his eyes to see how the world is in terms of appearance.
  • People nowadays.
  • Coffee.
  • Store inventory.
  • End of Month
  • August 2009.
  • Penang.
  • Family.
  • Problems.
  • My laptop.
  • Music production
  • And...
.. Everything else.

I just sat down and nearly blocked my mind away from everything; turning me into another nobody, again.

But I got to the driver's seat, and drove back home.

So how is it supposed to be, again?

No matter how tired I am, I can't turn back.

Not anymore.

And 4 Years Later..

Me, Edric Ho, and Mike Mangini.

That was taken 4 years ago.

This below, was taken with one of my close friend's camera, and maybe.. what? A few hours ago? :)

His clinic was great! As a musician as a whole, he inspired me to go back into music, learn more about time signature and be more serious in it because sometimes, you can't be all natural if it comes to these things, and about.. life itself through his story, I suppose?

He got better, and just blew everybody's brains off with his consistency, perfect transition of time signature changes, now that I've studied it, I understood it a little bit more..

Wheee hohoho!

A shirt worth RM 29.90, his Zildjian signature series drumsticks, and..

Strange Deja Vu, but if you had a look at my pictures here in my Multiply album, it showed that the last time I saw him, he signed only one side of the stick. I guess now I made a fresh pair without signatures, and one with his signature - based on different years, I suppose? Hohohohohohohohohohohoohohoho

PS. Of course there are other better drummers out there in the world, but hey, I'm thankful for at least attending his clinic and to learn more about music in general. Hohohohoo

Finally Free.

"You are once again surrounded by a brilliant white light. Allow the light to lead you away from your past and into this lifetime. As the light dissipates you will slowly fade back into consciousness remembering all you have learned. When I tell you to open your eyes you will return to the present, feeling peaceful and refreshed. Open your eyes, Nicholas."

The Miracle:
Friday evening
The blood still on my hands
To think that she would leave me now
For that ungrateful man

Sole survivor
No witness to the crime
I must act fast to cover up
I think that there's still time

He'd seem hopeless and lost with this note
They'll buy into the words that I wrote

"This feeling inside me
Finally found my love, I've finally broke free
No longer torn in two
I'd take my own life before losing you"

Feeling good this Friday afternoon
I ran into Julian
Said we'd get together soon

He's always had my heart
He needs to know
I'll break free of the Miracle
It's time for him to go

This feeling inside me
Finally found my love, I've finally broke free
No longer torn in two
He'd kill his brother if he only knew

Their love renewed
They'd rendezvous
In a pathway out of view
They thought no one knew
Then came a shot out of the night

The Sleeper:
One last time
We'll lay down today
One last time
Until we fade away
One last time
We'll lay down today
One last time
We fade away

As their bodies lie still
And the ending draws near
Spirits rise through the air
All their fears disappear, it all becomes clear
A blinding light comes into view
An old soul exchanged for a new
A familiar voice comes shining through

This feeling inside me
Finally found my life, I'm finally free
No longer torn in two
I learned about my life by living through you

This feeling inside me
Finally found my life, I'm finally free
No longer torn in two
Living my own life by learning from you

We'll meet again my friend someday soon

CNN report:

And as you can imagine, as the skies have grown darker here over Washington, the mood has grown darker as well and people here are beginning to resign themselves to the possibility that they are witnessing yet another tragedy in a long string of misfortunes. Reaction from everywhere, from Washington and certainly from around the world has gues..."

Somewhat Bedridden.

I just can't help myself,
I'm feeling like I'm going out of my head.
I can't explain this strange deja vu,
But I don't mind.
I hope to find;
The truth..

I woke up this morning, and it reminded me of a February in 2004. My voice changed, my breathing got a little bit harder, my eyes were timidly sore, except that the sun didn't shine on me when I woke up.

Obviously, at that state, I felt extremely weak. In fact, my movements, speed, and stamina decreased quite a bit. Currently, I feel a little bit light headed. In fact, I had to drag myself to the bathroom to get my day started.

And with this tired state of mind, how am I supposed to face a few thousand statutes, sections, acts, so on and so forth, just to get my assignment done?

How am I supposed to get customers' orders out by calling back clearly? After all, the voice is rather important for work to communicate.

Now, what was the difference between today, and that day 4 years ago?

Simple. In 2004: I was problem free, I understood that the world is round, and being in the hospital; I was excused from whatever I was supposed to do or to attend under procedures and rules.

Today: I face my own problems, I understand the world is filled with barbarians of many species, and I'm not officially excused from whatever I'm supposed to do or attend under procedures or rules.

Eventually, 3.30pm or 5.30pm will tick its way by, and I'll have to begin my duties in the bar. Before that, my assignments have to be touched. If possible; completed, since I have all materials. It's a matter of understanding it and converting it into simple English instead of horrid confusing Latenglish.

Best of all, I still feel like shit, but oi, I still have to pull myself up. Hohohoho ...

Good morning, people. Have a better day than I do :)

Snapping Back Into Reality.

It's all about realising what are your priorities.

A good example for myself; although I'm a part-time barista at Starbucks, that doesn't mean that I do not hold have less responsibilities compared to my seniors, or the full-time partners there.

And although I'm a part-timer, I did not forget that I have my studies to pamper and to attend to.

Therefore, I'm back into being polyrhythmic. I'm happy because I finished about 70% of my Law assignment, and what I needed to do at work today.

Although it caused me a big headache at the end of the day, but I got preparations laid out to submit tomorrow.

I'm extremely happy.

Now what I need, is proper sleep. Hoho. then again, there's the guitar.... Mmmhmmmmm...

The other problem would be I'm extremely financially challenged until my salary comes.. Which is like what, 3 weeks from now? kannineh.

Inefficient Nepalese Bastards.

I don't give a flying fuck, but if you were to study in KDU PJ (or Penang campus), just turn to some other college because the people they hire are to be certified without brains of any sort, even if they were brains of a pig.

Hello, parking ticket. Fuck you, KDU management.

Being void, would be rather interesting at times.

But not tonight, I suppose. Managed to pull myself back together and I'm furthering out on my stupid law assignment which doesn't seem hard, except for a section that I have to research by myself.

And thanks to Dream Theater's music.. Yummy..

My condition's getting well as I do live in a mini pharmacy. Me and my housemate are always prepared for minor sicknesses; where we exchange medication of sorts.

Except for opium. Would want to grow some of those. Hoho.

And college would be tomorrow, and pre-mid EOM would begin tomorrow.

I'm wondering, how did I manage all these again?

Best to go with the flow.

Best to be forgotten.

Monday, October 13, 2008

As I walked along the corridor, I did not see..
.. The girl that’s worth a look.
.. The child that cried over spilt ice cream.
.. The man who’s happy with his family.
.. The illegal immigrants working here in Malaysia.
.. The ones working for a job that’s not worth working for.
.. The ones getting frustrated with people stepping upon his or her mopped floor.

I only know that my fever was building up, my sneezes were getting disgusting and way out of hand, my muscles being tightened up, and a major headache going over my head that made me lose my patience with those around me.

But I had to push myself to meet the expectations of others. It's not like anybody was going to let me off from my shift, anyway.

I was awake, but my mind wasn’t conscious, and for a brief moment, I had no soul. I just walked along, trying to get the day over with, having sicknesses that gradually got worse.

Then problems started to compile out of the blues. Yet my decision was simple, but it was tough due to the circumstances.

Until that point, I turned void.

Shutting your mind away from reality, and from the people surrounding you, is the simplest thing to get away from your problems.

They know they’re causing problems for you, but do they know how many problems are accumulating for your inner self?

Do you know that I’m facing several problems and I ran out masks to put on?

Because of the reason of me nearly breaking down, I decided to shut myself in Ikea, alone.

Away from everybody.

Now I’m here, and now I’m gone. Slowly fading away.

I’m not the person you once knew.

In fact, I’m not the person I expected myself to be, in the first place.

Then again, I never had a goal or image for myself.

I am void.

And my soul floats to seek the person I once was.

Being Old.

Problem about working and whatever it is that has to be related to it is that you'll feel old eventually no thanks to the situations you have to face, and the problems you'll try and evade.

Currently, my health is at stake with this last-minute lifestyle, but then again, I'm trying to pull myself together no matter the cost.

If I were to go deaf one day, I'd rather die than to live without listening to this hidden beauty..

Anyway, off to assignments.. time to be analytical.....

And It's That Time of Life..

My eyes are heavy,
My shoulders feels tight,
I feel like a zombie/mentally tired,
And I just feel like doing nothing.

I'm getting old, and my lifestyle that I once enjoyed is finally getting back at me; reminding me that these sort of a lifestyle isn't meant for the average human.

And for the first time, I'm actually at the point where I'm about to give up ..

... Now, being tired and all that nonsense, let's get started on our next law assignment now, shall we?

I can't seem to remind myself why I'm here again.. hahahahahahaahahahahahahahahahaha

[Survey] Tagged by Jo Ann.. hoho

I'll make this quick as I need sleep..

Ten things you might know, might not know, and might not even want to know about me.

1. I am prone to sicknesses of all sort. I have to admit that I've got weak antibodies, but hey, I'm still alive, but nearly dead. Hoho

2. Life's not a bed of roses, and it's interesting seeing othersabusing such beauty of life. I think people should really open their eyes to see what the world has become, accept the fact, and try to make things better for the individual and others to live in. After all, a change can only happen when someone initiates it.

3. I am not as independent as you think. I live based on procedures, therefore I am still somewhat pampered and immatured.

4. I like being analytical. Analysing subjects in many aspects would be an interesting hobby. Then again, imagining on how an individual can perish is another.......

5. When I'm stressed, I think of cigarettes, problem is; I don't smoke.

6. Polyrhythmic is best explained with the term multitasking; but on a higher and techincal level. I am currently in a stage of life juggling everything that seems impossible with proper time management, therefore all sort of activities I am involved in, like studies and work for everyday basics, would be balanced. And since I have never been organised before, I find this point of life being the climax for myself to really prove what I can really do by living alone.

7. I always plan to pass; not to score. Because I don't believe in high grades showing that you know the subject extremely well. I believe in the implementation of both theory and practical to stablise what we understand regarding a situation. There's no such thing as a man being successful by just reading a book on how to be successful.

8. To me, the most considerate thing to do in a relationship is to think of what's the best outcome; not about being together until the end of time.

9. I hold friends close to me, true. I like doing favours and all, but there are only a few that I hold really close to me.

10. I don't believe in 'best friends'. It's bullshit and plain nonsense. After all, if they get knocked down by a lorry that transports pigs, what are you going to do after what you went through? Cry your eyeballs out? Get a life and grow up.

And I tag everybody who reads this.

And A Birthday Shoutout To..

Probably one of the most cheerful and most patient baristas I've ever worked with - Faisal..

New partners would definitely would love to work with him as he guides others well at some aspects - only if you would be patient enough to learn.

His birthday falls on the 10th of October.. So, happy birthday dude! Sorry couldn't wish you during your shift or something, was busy running about KL..

Have a satisfying one, bro. .hoho

Oh, Please Don't Rob Me!

Just yesterday, I received details regarding the whole Mike Mangini clinic, and the Boston Brass clinic. Hohohohohoho.

And well.. RM170 well spent.

I am very very happy.

Of course, I admit that I accidentally bought the brass band thingy, but oits, music is music. Especially coming from Boston, I don't mind at all.. hohohohohohoho..

On another note, I know my brother's going to read this, but hey, I'm supposed to go back to Penang next week to celebrate my birthday with my parents and dinner with my parents' friends, etc. And I just met up with them and my relatives a few nights ago. I was way too tired, and I thought a nice quiet dinner with them was going to be worth my time, but I was wrong. Ended up having dinner with their age group of people. Like.. what the fuck?

And for my 'birthday' this time around, it's more to THEIR dinner celebration instead of MY birthday celebration. Funniest thing is that, it's always been that way around in this family, so .. Let's turn things around now, shall we?

Honestly, if I'm there to be planned about enjoying my birthday? Screw it. Ironically, I had a good laugh about how sad it was when my relatives attended my brother's birthday. None of his friends were present.

What a birthday.

And guess what? Deja vu's happening to me.

So if that's the case, count me out. I'm not going back no matter what. Besides, I've missed out on Steve Vai, Dream Theater and many other awesome acts because of studies. I'm not going to let my own birthday ruin the drummer whom inspired me a lot when it comes to technicality.

Plus, Mike Mangini came 4 years ago, and he blew my fucking brains inside out. I'm going to watch him and make every part of my body reach a certain climax, and blow up of orgasm.

Here's another clip to enlighten some nice eye and ear candy for the upcoming drum clinic.

Just that the clinic will be like, I don't know, 1 hour and 50 minutes more? ;)

Screw Everything.

I can't be bothered about what's going on at work at the moment, but HELL YESSSS

Mike Mangini, World Fastest Drummer record holder, is back in Malaysia since his last appearance in 2004. This time, he's holding a personal drum clinic, and a brass workshop!!!!

Both events will be at Wisma Bentley @ Mutiara Damansara, opposite Tesco, beside McDs.

Mike Mangini - Pearl Drum Clinic
18th Oct - 8pm
Price per ticket - RM35

Boston Brass-Jupiter Clinic
26th Oct - 3pm
Price per ticket - RM50

Anybody wanna come along? XDXDXDXDXD

Here's an overrated video at of his solo. Because the clinic I went for about 4 years ago was one and a half hours long.

.. Non stop :)

The Devil's Influence.

I'm listening to Dream Theater's As I Am, one of my favourite pieces up to date, and all I can say is..

. I can feel the hatred flowing through my veins.
. I am extremely impatient and angry.
. I hate a lot of things.
. I am going out of my head.
. I am not myself for tonight.

It's about time to finally let it all out after quite some time.

Many parts of the world pests are often controlled through the use of pesticides, Arabica coffee is grown in mountainous areas that are significantly higher in altitude than most pests thrive in, meaning there is less need for chemical pest control.

But high altitude means that it would be foggy, and the environment is moist; therefore the coffee trees are prhone to fungus, and it is treated with fungicides.

Without Me.

Even if you know what is right..
You should turn around.
You should really open your eyes..
To see who picks you up.
Even if you know who I am..
Try to see through me..
Just see through me.

Even if you know your mistakes..
Turn around, and walk away.
Even if you know what to say..
Keep it for the one who's naive.
Even if you relive the day..
Don't even mention to me.
Even if you know the way..
Just leave without me.

Just some lyrics I wrote. Then again, it's going to be another incompleted piece if I were to put this into my music production list.. -_-

This Headache.

.. Is a reminder that I can never be perfect in the things that I show interest in.

Only Thoughts..

.. Would lead to nothing, but confusion and being lethargic.

1) Sometimes, it's not worth the effort, but it benefits others and there shall be no disruption towards an operation.

2) Self happiness can't be achieved by the minds of a single person.

3) Being too helpful doesn't benefit oneself much.

4) Distance makes the soul grow weaker, but the heart stronger.

5) Being polyrhythmic is a self-benefit.

6) The soul shall not rest until another phrase takes place.

7) Being emotional is God's gift of making you realise where you stand.

8) Independence can be achieved by pain invoked during the early growing stage of life.

9) Death doesn't take place for those who deserve dying, but takes place for those who asks for it.

10) The only day where I shall perish, would be the day I turn deaf.

Although it is the month of October, I have no expectations of whatsoever, and special events can always be postponed; or cancelled. I hate it when some people make it a very big issue or whatever it is. It's just fucking annoying.

I met up with my parents tonight at my uncle's place near KLCC area, and my dad brought up the most interesting topic.

The WFD that we once watched with our barenaked eyes who upholds the record of hitting 1208 strokes per minute is coming to Malaysia..

EOM didn't take long this time.

I remember the first time I did EOM with Aisyah, Fery, and Kak Anita.. It lasted us till 3am in the morning. The month after that, I was doing opening, therefore it wasn't much.

Then it came to Merdeka Day, which took quite a while because some idiot messed up everything and we had to do it all over again from scratch, which made us go home at 4am in the morning.

This month, with some printer difficulties, we finished up at .. 11.30pm

Woo hoo!!!!!!

Shows that we're not the slowest amongst the lot!

Yay! Now I'm looking forward to next month's EOM .. hoho
